Will I be reminded of my monthly sponsorship?
IF you have arranged for your credit card or checking account to be debited, it will donate automatically without further action on your part. IF you are sending a check, you will be sent a receipt for that amount ONLY. We do not bill you or remind you. An addressed envelope is always included with your receipt to assist you with the next months mailing. The GIVE page has credit card or checking withdrawal options and your bank will have options available to use bill pay. In all cases you will receive a year end statement of all of your donations.
I use PayPal or credit card to submit my monthly sponsorship. Does it cost to do that?
Yes, there is a transaction fee of 4% (PayPal) deducted from your total to PATH. (Note: if you would like to avoid the shortfall, you may donate $36.40, and your child will benefit from the full $35.00).
Credit transaction fees are less—about 2%.
Am I the only one sponsoring this child?
In most cases, no. It takes four sponsors @ $35ea/ mo. to fully fund the expenses of a child. If you have indicated that you would like to fully sponsor ($140/mo) a child, then we can easily arrange that.
How will you notify me of updates and changes?
On a regular basis, email is used to keep everyone informed of current events at Otino Waa. You may sign up to be updated of all PATH news and events. A (hard copy) quarterly newsletter is sent to everyone on our data base. If, for some reason, changes need to be noted about your child, a letter will be sent informing you. Where do I send packages and letters for my sponsored child?
ALL packages and correspondence must be sent to the Uganda location.

What are the ages of the children at Otino Waa?
We accept children from the ages of 5 and 18.
How long should I sponsor a child?
Your sponsorship is not a contract. It is up to you as to how long you would like to commit to this child’s life. We realize that your life and finances could change at any time. We expect that there will come a time when a child will be on their own, taking with them the skills that they have learned at Otino Waa, and will no longer need our help.
