*****************************************SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM DOUGLAS !! **********************************************

Carol :    When Bob and I returned to Uganda July 1st, Douglas was very ill. Douglas has worn many hats with PATH Ministries. He has been Assistant Administrator of Otino Waa, a mobilizer for the medical clinic, a driver, a pastor, transportation manager and a bee master /teacher.  You can see he is a big part of this ministry.

First the doctors thought his sickness was Malaria and then Typhoid. He was on treatment for both in turn. That took a couple of weeks. He did not get better.  In fact, he became paralyzed on his left side. Bob and I insisted he be taken to Kampala International Hospital where he could be better evaluated. Bob drove Douglas and his wife Grace and tiny baby to Kampala where they all stayed for a week. Douglas was found to have a "bleed" between his brain and skull. Surgery was immediately performed and he was on the road to recovery. Now you can see he has his wonderful smile back, his jovial laugh and he is back to work full time.

Here is a note from Douglas:

Dear Friends in the Lord,

I, Douglas Omara, give thanks to the Almighty God and everyone who really labored for me when I was sick. You prayed for me and some of you sent your own money for my surgery.
I want to encourage you that your labor for me was not in vain. After being discharged from the hospital, I went back for review only two times in two months. My doctor was so happy to see me and he told me that my healing has been so fast. As I talk right now, he has discharged me from going back for any further review. My healing has been so miraculous just because of your prayer for me. I do not have anything to pay you back. It is too much for me. But it is my prayer that God should continue blessing you and opening doors in everything you do.
I am now able to serve the Lord even more than I have been doing before. Glory and honor be to His name above all names.
